OSG Releases Phoenix PMEN Indexable Chamfering Cutter

TOYOKAWA―February 26, 2025―OSG Corporation today announced the release of the Phoenix PMEN indexable chamfering cutter. The PMEN is engineered for both front and back chamfering. It is also suitable for face milling.

Chamfering of 30°, 45°, and 60° is possible with a common insert and two types of cutter bodies. Two types of chamfer angles can be set with one cutter body by simply matching the insert and cutter body constraint surfaces. The PMEN features a cutter body configuration that allows the user to visually confirm the set chamfer angle by the value engraved on the body to prevent machining errors. Last but not least, the PMEN is engineered with internal coolant capability to enable stable machining.

Three insert grades, XP3015, XP2040 and CK010 are available for the PMEN indexable chamfering cutter to accommodate a wide range of work materials. The XP3015 is ideal for steel and cast iron; the XP2040 is designed for stainless steel and heat-resistant alloy machining; the CK010 is suitable for aluminum alloy applications.
